Faculty Offer Perspectives About Women's Enterprise

Two beplay官网体育Babson College Entrepreneurship professors are among the lecturers at the Telfer School of Management speaker series,Perspectives about Women's Enterprise.The speaker series features expert presentations about entrepreneurship and innovation,viewed through a gender lens.

Vice Provost of Global Entrepreneurial Leadership Candida Brush will speak on December 8th onEnhancing Entrepreneurship Education for Women.This presentation will highlight best practices in building women-centric entrepreneurship programs and curriculum.The presentation will also highlight lessons learned from theDiana Project (TM)– the world's largest research consortium focusing on women entrepreneurs and the growth of their enterprises,and show how these can influence policy and practice.

Patricia G.Greeneis the Paul T.beplay官网体育Babson Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies at Babson College.Currently,she also serves as the academic director for the Goldman Sachs10,000 Small Businessesand10,000 Womenprograms.

She is a founding member of the Diana Project,a research group focusing on women entrepreneurs.Dr.Greene's most recent books areThe Development of University-Based Entrepreneurship Ecosystems: Global Practices(with M.Fetters,M.Rice and J.Butler),andTeaching Entrepreneurship: A Practice Based Approach(with H.Neck and C.Brush).   She is a co-author of reports on women's entrepreneurship for the Diana Project,GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) and10,000 Women.She is also the co-owner of Artworks,a specialty home goods store in Gettysburg,PA.

Candida Brushholds the Franklin W.Olin Chair in Entrepreneurship,and is the Vice Provost of Global Entrepreneurial Leadership at beplay官网体育Babson College.She is also a co-founder of The Diana Project.In 2007,Dr.Brush was named a recipient of the ‘FSF – Swedish Research Foundation International Award for Outstanding Research Contributions in the Field of Entrepreneurship.' She is a member of the Boston Harbor Angels investment group and serves on the boards of many start-ups.
