The beplay官网体育BabsonFashion Entrepreneurial Initiativeand the IoT Initiative at beplay官网体育Babson College are hosting theWearables Hackathonon Friday,February 24,2017,from 8:45 a.m.to 5:30 p.m.,in theButler Venture Acceleratorat theArthur M.Blank Center for Entrepreneurshipat beplay官网体育Babson College.
Wearables Hackathon
Students will use wearable technology to experiment with creating new products.Faculty membersCaroline Danielsof theEntrepreneurshipfaculty andRuben Manchafrom the Technology,Operations,and Information Management (TOIM) faculty will lead the event,which will feature a Design Thinking Session withTOIMProfessorVictor Seidel.
Student teams will compete throughout the day to see which one can create the most effective and creative wearable.
They will also:
- Discuss the state of the art of the wearables and fashion industries
- Learn how to apply design thinking to the development of wearables
- Interact with wearables devices.
Technology for the event has been provided by the Benson Student Technology Fund.
